BastogneBlastProtection is a leader in the development of new technology
for Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) bomb blast
mitigation and relocatable bomb blast resistant structures. Blast protection
is provided for armed services personnel, aircraft, tactical command
centers, high value military assets, embassy staffs, government and
non-government (NGO) facilities having high threat levels. Products
range from rigid wall relocatable shelters (RWRS) to blast mitigation
retrofit assemblies for buildings.
BastogneBlastProtection produces Hardened
Relocatable Shelters (HRS) for forward tactical areas,
Container Retrofit Systems
(CRS) for converting unused ISO shipping containers into military billets,
tactical command centers, and field hospitals, and Blast
Curtain Walls (BCW) for new buildings or retrofitting existing
buildings for embassies or other government or non-government entities
in terrorist-threatened areas. Thin-walled bomb blast resistant protective
products, employing unique, patent pending technology, resist large
bomb blasts at short standoff distances, hostile ground fire, and the
impacts of fragments from shells, grenades, or other explosions. Hardened
walls consist of honeycombed, cellular light gauge steel walls filled
with in-situ sand or cement/sand mixtures in-theater.
Management and military commanders concerned with missions being compromised
by threats to personnel and critical or high value assets from hostile
military action or terrorist threats must second guess the adversary.
Many facilities in terrorist-prone regions do not have the luxury of
large standoffs from public roadways. Such facilities are subject to devastation from vehicle borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) or other explosive blast at short standoff distances. Proactive Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection of personnel and critical
assets is the responsibility of managers and military commanders. It
is the mission of BastogneBlastProtection to meet these needs for Anti-Terrorism/Force
Protection (AT/FP) mitigation.
BastogneBlastProtection products and technology have been evaluated
by professional engineers and subjected to terminal ballistics evaluation
and full scale blast tests to demonstrate their capabilities to protect
against various military ordnance and explosives. Evaluation of Bastogne
protective products is currently underway at U. S. Air Force Research
Laboratory (AFRL) facilities. Classified blast and ordnance resistance
capabilities of Bastogne’s blast walls are available from the
U. S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) for military and government
entities and contractors 1.
