Custom Configurations
BlastCubicle can be constructed in unlimited
configurations. For custom configuration call
and speak with one of our staff engineers.

Interior Configurations
Existing structures can also utilize BlastCubicle
modules to provide additional internal blast
protection and harden existing facilities.
Once again a variety of configurations are
possible. Please call our engineering department
to discuss your needs.
Blast Curtain
Bastogne’s Blast Curtain Wall is a
proprietary structural wall system which provides
outstanding resistance to external blasts,
fragmentation, and small arms fire for buildings
in high risk areas. The wall panels are typically
6 inches in thickness and 8 inches in width
for typical floor to floor heights. The exterior
and interior faces of the blast panel assemblies
have light gauge steel shields bonded to panel
surfaces with visco-elastic structural adhesive.
The Blast Curtain Wall system is attached
to the peripheral structural framing of existing
or new construction and provides a high degree
of protection to occupants and equipment within
the protected building. The wall system may
be anchored to concrete floors by means of
concrete anchors or may be connected to structural
steel angles or other structural elements
of the building. The tops of wall panels are
typically connected to a special steel plate,
fabricated by Bastogne Manufacturing, which
contains holes matching the holes in the tops
of panel end brackets. Sand, grout, or other
local particulate matter is introduced into
each panel cavity through these holes to provide
the superior small arms terminal ballistics
and explosive blast resistance. The top steel
plate is field welded or bolted to the existing
structural framing at the upper level. The
Blast Curtain Wall can feature special openings
to house blast and bullet resistant windows
or doors.
